App Smashing: Pic Collage and ChatterPix

In Kindergarten, their first Social Studies Unit is "KG the Place to Be!" which is basically all about being in Kindergarten, the class community, and our school rules. To reflect on some of their favorite things about Kindergarten so far, I had the students do a little app-smashing!

First we started with Pic Collage. The students had to:

  1. Choose a background

  2. Take a Selfie!

  3. Take pictures of three things they liked doing in Kindergarten

  4. Type their name

  5. Export the finished product to the camera roll

Next, we imported that collage into Chatterpix, and made our photo talk about our favorite things about Kindergarten! Here are a few examples :) Of course, I HAD to included the child who chose me as one of his favorite things about Kindergarten ;)
